TT’s Next Top Model

I’m still working on painting the quilt-face for my project in Terri Stegmiller’s Faces on Fabric class. I’m a little frustrated, so I decided to take a step back and return to it in a couple of days. I’m headed to Houston this afternoon; I have a Dr.’s appointment with the surgeon tomorrow, along with another CT scan and more tests. I think I’ll be ready to dive back in by the time I return.

In the meantime, I’m working on this week’s 6x6” square. I thought it was only appropriate that it should include a face, since I’ve spent so much time on faces this week. I created two small faces on fabric, and one of them will be incorporated into my 6x6.

Which do you think I should go with and why? Feel free to offer any suggestions for improvement on either of them as well!

I really like both faces. I think I like the blond better because she's looking off to the side instead of straight at you. That makes it a bit more interesting IMO. But both faces are lovely.

I like the second one too! I think it's the waviness in her hair and the way she's looking off to the side. D~~~~

Ok, I'll be different. I like the first one. She looks like she's all puckered up to give a big smooch! LOL! Really, they both are great.

Honestly, I like both of them & for the reasons everyone mentioned above. I will add that the color for the blonde makes her 'pop' more, but they're both great!

Wow - they are great! The second one really pops for me - maybe the big eyes just make her look alive. Bravo!

the second face is very interesting and gets you to wondering what is on her mind. you see so many that look like the first, a straight on shot and similar hair style but the second is very individual - her hair style, expression - they are priceless.

Great faces.
I love the expression on the first one as it is so quizzical. Just what is she thinking?

Good luck at the docs.

NOt to sound like a broken record BUT I love them BOTH! I do feel that the second one is more interesting in that her eyes are larger more soulful and she's not looking right at you. Makes you wonder what she's thinking... I love both of their lips!
Hope your dr. appt and report was good.

It's really hard to choose!! they are both lovely -- maybe I like the first one she has a quizzical look about her face and I like her hairstyle --- Good Luck
